Mr. Lazarus is the founding partner of the Canadian law firm Lazarus Charbonneau, and has practiced law on domestic and international scale for over Fifty (50) years. Mr. Lazarus has an evolved and comprehensive practice with roots in banking, commercial and entertainment and sports law. Currently Mr. Lazarus focuses his practice and skills on gaming law. Mr. Lazarus has written extensively on the subject, is a frequent keynote speaker for gaming industry trade shows and conferences, and represents the interests of many premier world-wide gaming providers within the online (“i-gaming”) and conventional (“land based gaming”) sectors. Mr. Lazarus dedicates a great of his time and resources to pursuing his many philanthropic, charitable and community aspirations.
Mr. Lazarus is the founder of the “Maxine Lazarus Endowment Fund” for “Hope and Cope” at the Jewish General Hospital and is associated with many other charitable groups and institutions;
He is the past recipient of the “Man of the Year” award for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, where he hosted for many years the annual “Special Breakfasts” for the celebrities associated with the annual “Juvenile Diabetes Foundation’s Cyclothon”;
He is the founder of the “JTL Fund” established at the Jewish General Hospital and McGill University for research into Hereditary Breast Cancers (BRCA);
He is a member of the Board of Directors of the “Cummings Foundation” and co-chairman of the Sports Celebrity Breakfast for “Seniors in Crisis” for the past eleven (11) years.
