“Be a businessman first, and a lawyer second. Sometimes it is not always in the client’s best interest to be his lawyer, but to be his business advisor.”
One part lawyer; one part business advisor – all results. Cory has an extraordinary ability to connect his clients with the appropriate resources. No matter how difficult the situation, he always manages to produce favourable outcomes for all parties involved. His creative problem-solving abilities and firm understanding of business and law make him a tremendous asset to our legal team.
Cory joined Lazarus Charbonneau in 2010 as an articling student after obtaining his civil and common law degrees from the University of Ottawa. Following his call to the Quebec and Ontario Bar Associations, he remained with the firm as a full-time attorney, working primarily in the gaming and corporate law departments. He is a member of the International Masters of Gaming Law and has been ranked by Chambers and Partners as one of Canada’s leading gaming attorneys.
His areas of practice are regulatory compliance, corporate structuring, contracts and start-up ventures.
